Matt Rhule is not concerned about the 2022 NFL challenges for the Panthers

Panthers ready for the 2022 NFL season

The Panthers got their work cut out for them now that the NFL has revealed the schedule for the 2022 regular season. The team from Carolina will play nine games at Bank of America Stadium. These games include one on Christmas Eve against the Detroit Lions. In addition, Uptown Charlotte shall host four of the very first five matches of the season.

Only time will tell whether such an early home ground edge is a blessing or a curse. Panthers lovers, rejoice: North Carolina sports betting is around the corner, and you’ll eventually be able to wager on your favorite contest or player. The House has until June 30 to pass the Senate-approved sports betting law. Possible NC mobile sports betting apps:

The Panthers are up against some tough quarterbacks.

There’s no denying that the Panthers have a tough quarterback situation this season. With road trips to Cincinnati, Los Angeles, and Baltimore and home games versus Arizona, Cleveland, and Denver, the Cardinals have a busy schedule. Carolina will face six quarterbacks from the top tier.

Throw in two division games against the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, for good measure. In other words, half of their schedule will feature games against future Hall of Fame quarterbacks like Joe Burrows, who led the Bengals to the Super Bowl final.

Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens is similarly eager to establish himself as a top-tier quarterback after his club finished last in their division. He can rely on a healthy team this time. Russell Wilson’s lethal arm keeps him in the top ten throwers.

Deshaun Watson led the league in passing yards in 2020 after sitting out 2021. We can anticipate him continuing where he left off.

Will coach Rhule be able to live up to the hype?

Head coach Matt Rhule, on the other hand, is unconcerned about it. He has complete faith in his team’s abilities. They understand what’s at risk, and they’re up to the task. While speaking with reporters last month, Panthers owner David Tepper also reiterated his support for the 47-year-old head coach.

The owner started to have faith in Matt. He assured his complete backing for the coach. Tepper further insisted to be a big fan, who despises losing as nobody enjoys losing. He wants to come out on top. However, he knows that it takes time and a foundation to win, and it takes time to build that foundation.

Rhule’s first two seasons with the Panthers, which began in 2020, left a lot to be desired. He finished 5-11 and 5-12, which was a poor showing for the once-promising Baylor coach. However, Rhule has a seven-year contract with Queen City, so maybe this is the year he demonstrates his worth.

Top games for the Panthers

So, without further ado, let’s look at some of the intriguing matches that the Panthers will face this fall on their difficult path ahead.

San Francisco 49ers -5th week (Oct 9)

With Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback, the 49ers were one drive away from a berth to Super Bowl LVI. If offensive genius Kyle Shanahan can even slightly tap into the potential of new starter Trey Lance in 2022, San Francisco will be a frightening team to play with.

Also, it wasn’t long ago that the 49ers were Super Bowl champions. And they were only a short drive away from another trip to the big game last season. Trey Lance will take over as quarterback for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo. If the club can capitalize on Lance’s untapped talent, they might threaten the Panthers.

Los Angeles Rams -6th week (Oct 16)

Between one NFC championship contender to the next, the Panthers will go to Hollywood after their game against the Niners. They’ll enter Rams House, the home of the reigning champions. This game could be the Rams’ second-easiest matchup after their matchup with the Falcons in week eight.

The defending Super Bowl champions don’t have all of their key players back, but they have enough. For the Panthers, this is a complete mismatch on every level. There are minimal chances for the Panthers to win this one.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7th week (Oct 23)

The Panthers then travel home to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who narrowly lost the 2021 NFC final game by a hair’s breadth. So far, the Panthers have faced three of the conference’s top contenders between weeks 5 and 7.

Analysts may argue that the Buccaneers have the greatest roster on the schedule. The Panthers will not even be able to split the two games in the season as much as Tom Brady is the quarterback.

Cincinnati Bengals -9th week (Nov 6)

As if that wasn’t enough, the Panthers visit Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati during Week 9 to play the other Super Bowl team. The Panthers’ matchup with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8 could be a bit of a breather for them.

Like against the Bucs, the Panthers do not have much of a chance in this matchup. Carolina will fight hard for the first three quarters, but Cincinnati will likely pull away late.

Baltimore Ravens -11th Week (Nov 20)

The Ravens started the 2021 season strongly, breaking multiple NFL records, but they finished 8-9 after a horrific six-game losing streak. Ailments caused their late-season collapse, but that won’t be the case this year.

Coach John Harbough has full confidence in his top quarterback Lamar Jackson, and the rest of the Ravens are in good shape. This is a game that the Panthers can win if they can force many turnovers. It will be seen if Sam Darnold and teammates will be able to take advantage of Baltimore’s mistakes.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -17th (Jan 1)

It isn’t easy to face Tom Brady once, but the Panthers will have to do so twice this season. Keeping in mind that this is the same Tom Brady who has beaten the Panthers 4–0 in the last two seasons by a 150–63 score margin, this will be a tough game for the Panthers.
